We spoke several weeks back: I'm a member of Raymond's Monthly Mentor
program and at the start of the program I submitted two goals, that if
achieved, earned me a paid vacation from the program.
The two goals were:
1. Do an international volunteer trip
2. Pay off the balance on a Visa credit card
I'm contacting you because I achieved both of the goals and you suggested
that I email you and you would forward the information to Raymond for
review.
I went to Panama in December of 2010 for two weeks of volunteer work. While
there I taught an adult ed English class, worked at a local recycling
center, and helped out at an after-school youth center. There are three
pictures attached. I'm the 'American looking' one with the short brown hair
in the pictures with my students and at the recycling center. The third
picture is of the teens from the youth center.
I also paid off approximately $4000 of credit card debt that I ran up during
my separation and divorce. The remaining balance was paid in full the 14th
of this month! I can send along a copy of the zero balance if necessary. I'm
very proud of it :)
The Monthly Mentor program helped me achieve these goals by helping me focus
on the little steps required to achieve big goals. I used the MAINLY sheets
and wrote my 'Minimum', 'Target' and 'Outrageous' goals monthly. I also
learned how important delegation is in asking for help from people around
me. I enjoyed adding up my score every month - It helped me see that I'd
made some progress even if I felt like it hadn't been an overly productive
month. I particularly enjoy selecting goals in the six different categories.
I think that aspect of the program keeps it fun and personally motivating.
I called in to many of Raymond's teleclass calls and found the Q&A segments
very relevant and helpful. It's nice to know there are others out there with
similar struggles and challenges, yet as motivated to develop and grow as I
am. I also enjoy Raymond's '1 Minute Mentor' videos. Though I don't
typically watch a video/day. It's more like a '60 Minute Mentor' session
when I catch up on a couple of month's worth at a time :) I find them very
inspirational.
I've set a few more ambitious goals: contributing to my kids' college
education, doing a volunteer trip to Africa next fall and visiting my son in
Greece next spring. I'm certain that the principles I learned and the new
habits I created as a result of participating in this program will help me
attain these as well. Thank you.

I had a great time at the workshop this weekend. The information given was quite uplifting, and I am on the track of self improvement. This has been a great step in that direction. That said, while Raymond tells a compelling story, it is disappointing when you find out that he actually does not do what he claims ... which is that he "does everything that he says." This is untrue. He claimed that everyone would be blueprinted, and yet only the half that expressed "desirable" qualities were chosen. In other words, he say "this is not a sales pitch" when really it is.

THANK YOU RAYMOND!!!!!! You have been the catalyst in my life changing moment. I attended your seminar in Toronto on October Tuesday 18, 2011. I was listening to you and found everything you were saying to be very uplifting, motivating and it allowed me to realize that I have been my greatest asset, and my greatest Stumbling Block! About 45 minutes into your seminar, foolishly, but now I realize it was meant to be, I checked an annoying buzzing on my right hip! WHAT@#@$$%^%$#&^&^#!!!!! The email seemed like the worst news I could get. A major project we were about to start work on site was just pulled from me. Two lines saying"effective immediately we no longer require your services"! Humanly, I freaked out, grabbed my coat and information and flew out of the room to find a quiet place to think!!!!! Try finding a quiet place at the MTCC, ha-ha! Well, here is my story. About a week before, my wife sent me an email with a link to the upcoming seminars that will be taking place in Toronto. I have been in business for many years, and as many, with ups and downs. The last 5 years have been particularly trying with various aspects of our business and the economy. I suspect I was "burnt out". Or a least burning out. My drive had changed. My ability to effectively gain new business diminshed. I used all the excuses of the economy, banks, government, clients,blah, blah, blah! Several months earlier I had made the conscious decision to get off my butt and make it work. I used to be very good at picking up new business whenever I wanted. So here I am at this great conference, listening to all the speakers prior to you. Really feeling inspired. During the break I walked through the exhibits and stopped to talk with a financial provider. While there we were also talking with a women who introduced herself as an author. I immediately said" I have always wanted to write a book! In fact I have a piece of paper on my office wall that I look at everyday, with the Title and basic story outline of what is going to be my first book. Can't tell you the title, you will have to wait. This outline has been on my wall for several years. Now I am back sitting in your seminar, very inspired and all of a sudden you mention "write a book". I must appologize that although I have heard your name, and recognized some of your book titles, I had no idea that you were going to speak about writting a book. I found this very interesting, because I know my angels and guides always lead me to where I need to be! I, like most, just do not always get the message. I am getting better at recognizing them. So now I am really feeling inspired. Back to that flippin email! I am in a large room somewhere off the end of the floor. It is quiet. I am trying to make some sense of this termination of contract. "They can't do this" "I will sue them". There is no way I am letting them do this!This is a major loss of business that I will have to fill! Immediately!!! I contacted the client and after a very frustrating and disappointing conversation realized that right or wrong, I am off this project. Feeling anxoius and as if I was kicked in the stomach,and I know that feeling well from many years in karate and certainly the business sparing ring, I started my slow trek home. Totally not inspired, not thinking of any book writting, rehearsing lines of what I will say to my wife....... I stopped several times to cry, could not, or try to gather my thoughts. It didnt work. I was defeated! They won! I quit! I'm getting a job! No one cares! Why do I do this! What a great "PITY PARTY" Now at home in my "bubble bath therapy" I had a moment. As I write this I am getting goose bumps as I have no doubt! Three phrases came to me as clear as day. In front of me in my mind. "Mitigate Damages" "Take the Deal" "Write the Book"! WOW I knew at that moment that the email I "freaked out" with was an opportunity to get away from a project that I kept hearing my "littles voices" from the begining, that this project was not for me. And, it is time to write my book!!!! I got out of my bubble bath, wrote these three phases in one of my many inspirational books. I woke up the next day, feeling great, started mitigating damages, took the deal and am now laying out the chapters of my book!!! PS. the title of my next book is in the three phrases! To every one who reads this, BELIEVE!!! IT WORKS. PSS. Raymond, please contact me if you wish, as I would love to be your student, and perhaps you can use my story in one of your seminars. Wow life is funny, I am so glad I went to Raymond's 3 day course this past weekend. On the business I was already doing many things right and experiencing tripling growth in my business. But learned so much that will improve my business even more, going forward. But forget the monetary benefits, personally I came home refreshed and ready to start my new program. Monday 10AM, my wife told me she was having an affair and wanted to separate. The previous Thursday I would have crumbled like a house of cards. But with the renewed strength, within myself, from the program. I am stronger and faced this new challenge with a new positive approach. My Monthly Mentor goals were 1. to be down 10lbs. and 2. to clean out the basement storage area.
1. I made my goal of 10lbs wt loss. I used the MAINLY. For delegation, I joined a gym, hired a personal trainer, and wt loss clinic for encouragement and direction. I kept the goals on my cell phone, eat less calories and exercise.
2. I made the goal of cleaning out the basement storage area. I used the initial, choosing and writing down of my goals, keeping them on my to do list. Leaving reminders, mini MAINLY. I had minimum, target and outrageous goals for cleaning the basement, with timelines. I started with one section, rather than the overwhelming total area, because I found I couldn't even look at it if I thought of cleaning the whole thing. If I didn't succeed in my timeline, I started again and persisted.
With success in smaller goals, I finally decided to take a whole day and dedicate it to complete my outrageous goal, and cleaned out the rest of the 20yr build up in the basement storage area. I cleaned out 3 garbage bags to the trash bin, and 6 large garbage bags that will be taken away by good will. Every box, shelf and bag was sorted through. I found a few treasures, threw out items that I hadn't used in 20+YRS. Made room to organize all my husband's tools on the shelves, got everything out of the isle and made a space for my son's sports equipment-(not in the middle of the floor.) It didn't all get done on that day, but with the feeling and visualization of accomplishment, it wasn't hard to come back the very next day and finish the job. I didn't want it to linger any longer. It feels good and I am ready to purge other areas of the house.
The Monthly Mentor helped me accomplish my goals, because I had a system to follow. I acknowledged on paper what I wanted to accomplish, I was accountable to myself, it kept my goals on my mind and not forgotten. I was able to create baby steps if the job was too big. There was also a sense of responsibility to Raymond to succeed, even if he wasn't here.
I have adapted the principles of the Monthly Mentor to my workplace and created a Mentorship program for the medical staff to organize and maintain control over the education credit requirements to keep our professional licenses. I have created a goal setting plan and Education credit recording system, all organized in a binder format for each individual. Now, whenever someone is audited, they will easily be prepared and have everything ready for presentation. I was audited this year and found it very stressful, which was my motivation to create the new system. It wasn't difficult creating something that helps me to succeed, because Raymond has given me the skills and mindset to adapt to whatever I am trying to accomplish. My boss loves it and I am presenting how to use it to the rest of the staff this month.
Thank you Raymond. You have given me lessons that will work for the rest of my life in all areas of my life. I look forward to seeing you again in Oct.

However, the time you shared today, pales in comparison to the many hours of sacrifice and work and study which you have quite obviously undertaken, to become the transformational leader you now are, and so effectively help many others to be.
